&. guidelines
( I ) GENERAL despite being the hermit that i mentioned earlier, i promise i don't bite. i can bit a little awkward and sometimes quiet, but in general, if there any concerns or questions that you have, i would be happy to answer them. i just ask that you approach me like anyone else, with care and respect. i don't take kindly to aggressive gestures and frankly, i am too old to deal with that sort of behavior.
( II ) LORE i could care less, honestly. i don't really mind lore-bending as i personally believe that some really cool ideas can flourish from that. of course, i am sure that there can be limits to how much lore-bending there is, but for me, as long as it doesn't harm anyone or make roleplaying unmanagable, go crazy, do all of the cool stuff.
( III ) IC / OOC this one i am going to keep simple and straight to the point. i am not my characters. what happens ic strictly stays ic. please do not confuse ic and ooc. if you have questions or concerns, approach me ooc and we can most definitely talk about it. also, my characters could be mean, upset, snappy, or cold, but again, those are my characters, not me. i draw a hard line on ooc and ic interactions and i do my best to avoid confusing the two.
( IV ) PLOTTING i will always make time to figure out connections and talk about how our characters could interact in certain situations. i personally really enjoy brainstorming ideas and i try to throw as much as i can out there based on what i know of the character. please do not hesitate to come to me and talk about these things, i will yap your ear off if you let me.
( V ) WRITING SPEED i have good days and bad days. there will be times where i am super slow to respond but usually i try to get a response back within a certain amount of time, which for me could be a week at max. i also am a full-time student at the moment so my time can be a bit split. if for some reason, i haven't responded in weeks, i usually inform the individual but there have been cases where i have forgotten or have been very busy and needed reminding. please don't hesitate to poke me in such circumstances, i appreciate that very much.
( VI ) SHIPPING shipping is loads of fun, i really don't mind talking about potential romances or interactions that lead up to it. but i do have boundaries and i prefer shipping be in line with plot progress. i usually don't ship my characters without reason or some established relations. i haven't been in a multi-ship situation before so i cannot say how i feel about that personally, i try to put myself in my oc's shoes in that situation.
( VII ) BOUNDARIES there are certain aspects of roleplay that i do find very uncomfortable, i steer clear of those. rape and dubious consent are ones that i will absolutely not participate in so don't even ask. i do not roleplay with minors; a lot of my characters touch upon mature and dark themes. i also just don't feel comfortable with the interaction so please respect that. godmodding and disrespecting others is something that i absolutely do not tolerate and our interaction will end very quickly. aside from that, i am honestly open to all sorts of themes for roleplay, my characters are a mix of different genres so i am more than happy to work with whatever you are comfortable with.
( VIII ) ASK ME when in doubt, just ask me. i will happily talk through whatever your concerns or questions are. like i said earlier, i am a bit awkward, but i am very open to communication, so don't hesitate! some things that i will mention, please approach me about ideas that pertain to character death, potential disfigurement, and captivity. those are very big decisions that i would rather work through and brainstorm on. i don't like to be surprised with things like that.

Asking about it will only have the inquirer verbally dancing around with no real answer to ponder.Daphne is covered in moles, from head to toe. Slightly pointed ears can be seen under tucked black locks. Heavily flushed cheeks, fingers, and knees stand out against her pale skin, giving her a very healthy glow. When she speaks, her hands tend to animate and gesture along as she babbles. She's got a soft, raspy voice and always seems to have a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
physical appearance. Daphne has long, elegant legs and shapely hips that are slightly wider than her torso. She has dainty hands with slender fingers. Her curly hair is a deep black and she is not above glamouring the length and style of her hair from time to time, for fun. In its natural state, her hair falls a bit past her thighs.Daphne's large brown eyes appear to say nothing and everything all at once, a deep expanse. She often wears a choker or a delicate necklace of some kind, it is rare to see her without either. Daphne enjoys wearing both dresses and practical gear, often sporting her own creations. Her favorite colors being red and black.
personality. She's a charming woman with an easygoing and slightly vivacious attitude. If she's not busy, then she's probably got her nose in a book. Daphne is usually patient but she can be prone to impulsiveness, and perhaps a bit too curious for her own good. There is playful mischievousness there when she engages others mixed with an air of confidence and grace in the way she carries herself.She enjoys bantering and a good bit of sarcasm, when given the chance. Along with being self-reliant, she can come off as stubborn and selfish at times, depending on the situation and her goals. Daphne attempts to come off as cool and collected but is actually not so hard to fluster, given one knows her body language and tells.Often, she hides behind a lop-sided smile but sometimes things fall through the cracks and she seems to have moments where she's uncharacteristically on edge. Daphne tends to dance around questions pertaining to parts of her life with half-baked answers and a coy grin in the hopes of hiding her discomfort. Under all of that, there is a deep-set anger and coldness within her that festers.

( I ) WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE a questionable group claiming to be "mercenaries" are insisting that a woman of her vague description has stolen something very important from them. daphne soon realized that they don't really know what she looks like and can't pinpoint where she is. the only telling information they have is that thief has a unique scar on one of their hands.
( II ) DARK HISTORY some nobility steer clear of her when she's out and about. those that do, eye her with weariness and whisper softly about the unfortunate circumstances surrounding her. she's a widow, she's been an orphan her whole life, and surely she married her late husband and then killed him for the money, right? wasn't she with child once? what did she do with it? some have sworn that they've seen little voidlings following her around in the shadows, is she associated with something sinister? why are there so many strange rumors surrounding this woman?.
( III ) WORKAHOLIC for many years now, daphne has been making clothing and accessories by hand, she's got an eye for fashion and a love for dressing up, ever since she was young. she runs a small but beautiful shop, tending to her clients' needs, be it repairs or making beautiful outfits by hand. when she has time to herself, often late into the night, daphne tends to work on her book collection, rebinding and repairing any old books she has lying around. she has a passion for collecting all sorts of books, used and new, tomes or novels.
( IV ) FESTERING there's some sort of insatiable hunger within daphne. something unfinished, something she can't quite let go. certain people she's just dying to meet again. those same "mercenaries" spark this sort of visceral anger and discomfort within her, fanning those flames. there's something regarding them that she's left behind and that past keeps rearing its ugly head. she finds that it's becoming hard to ignore. she wants to do something about it, about them.
( V ) TROUBLE MAGNET one thing led to another and now daphne can't seem to quite get rid of her more...unique patrons. rumor has it that lady fontaine assists the more "questionable" sort of folks. hides them away from guards, stitches their wounds, and sends them on their way. apparently word of mouth spread and she often gets surprise visitors begging for her help. with no love for authority, due to some bad run-ins, daphne obliges. for a price, of course.
( VI ) LITTLE MISS NOSEY as a modiste and even more so as a woman with ties to a wealthy adopted name, daphne tends to slip in and out of high society. rumors, word-of-mouth, and information tends to come by her easily. observant and perhaps a bit too curious for her own good, daphne may or may not have interesting details about her fellow peers. word spreads fast, and daphne is more than happy to share what she knows. Not out of the kindess of her heart, of course. information is dangerous, with that, comes a cost.
( VII ) HEART RACING from the account of a very suspicious nobleman: "haven't you heard? about what? well, that woman over there! yes, the widow, that one indeed. are you new here? of course you are, if you are asking about her. a good few know by now to steer clear of her. why, you say? well, she's...suspect, you know. how do i know? there have been a few accounts of those that have interacted with her. some say that just by a single touch, all of their worries slip away and they feel themselves calming, almost in a state they have never been before. others have said that with just one look, their hearts beat so rapidly, they feel they were ready to keel over dead. she's a charming woman for sure, but under that visage there is something dark there, i am sure of it. the rumors surrounding her do not help, it's been said she has some sort of heretical roots, you know. some dark sort of magic buried deep within her family. and the possibility of void connections? bah, steer clear away. is there evidence, you say? w-well...no, nothing solid, i am afraid. nothing that has come to light...per say. she's been investigated before, you know. heed my words, it is best to stay away from her!"
